We are delighted to offer online training with journalist Shenaz Kermalli to help you build your media spokesperson skills.

This session is a great opportunity to learn best practice when communicating with news reporters. Participants will learn how to craft key messaging, respond to interview questions effectively, and cultivate positive relationships with reporters. Our interactive online training with journalist Shenaz Kermalli will include time for Q & A and a segment for mock interviews.

At the completion of this specialized session, you will have gained an understanding of the following topics:

1. How news stories get put together
2. How to ensure your message comes across when speaking to a journalist
3. How to write an opinion piece.

Shenaz Kermalli is a freelance journalist and teaches journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University and University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies. She is a former producer with BBC News, CBC News and Al Jazeera English.
