Sound Vision Canada (SVC) is seeking an Administrator to lead efficient communications with team members, facilitate main activities and help moderate and prepare webinars. This is a virtual volunteer role, with the opportunity of helping moderate live webinars. College and university students are encouraged to apply, or anyone with an interest in education, project management and marketing.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Help moderate workshops and develop Zoom trainings when needed
- Send emails, schedule meetings and events with partners and instructors
- Record meeting minutes at team meetings
- Develop and put together workshop content packages when needed
- Occasional sending of newsletters and social media posts

- Plan and create exciting graphics and methods for systemic marketing
- Arrange videos and photographs of trainings to incorporate into marketing plan

Role Description
Sound Vision Canada (SVC) is seeking a dynamic Content and Curriculum Designer to assist with creating a deeper and meaningful curriculum for, but not limited to, Weekend Islamic School trainings trainings. This is a virtual volunteer role, with the opportunity of helping moderate live webinars. College and university students are encouraged to apply, or anyone with an interest in how Islamic content should be taught in the classroom. Individuals with a teaching background that wish to see change and make an impact are encouraged.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Work with a team to create a structure for a long-term and short-term teacher training
- Help identify experts to teach the various components for us to engage them to teach it
- Develop a resource booklet for teachers
- Possibly create content to go on website for each training
Required Skills / Experience
- Must have some experience as a student of weekend Islamic school or teacher of one
- Must have excellent oral and written skills
- Working in a team environment
- Developing written content for social media (posts) to promote work

The Outreach and Fundraising Coordinator at Sound Vision Canada (SVC) will drive revenue and community engagement by building relationships, managing campaigns, and fostering partnerships. Key responsibilities include identifying funding opportunities, boosting community engagement, planning events, managing donor databases, and supporting organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Development: Create and execute annual fundraising plans, including campaigns and donor stewardship strategies.
- Donor & Partner Cultivation: Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, businesses, and community leaders to support SVC local and international educational programs.
- Grant Management: Research, write, and submit grant applications and proposals.
- Outreach & Engagement: Represent SVC at community events and meetings to educate stakeholders about the organization’s work through presentations and outreach activities.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute fundraising events and initiatives.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate donor records, tracking donations, and managing data in systems.
- Volunteer Coordination: Lead volunteer teams at local events and programs.
- Administrative Support: Support the execution of programs, the preparation of impact reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, community outreach, or marketing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or Non-profit Management preferred.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for creating proposals and donor stewardship materials. Strong communication skills to engage diverse communities in a respectful and professional manner.
- Networking: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage community partners. Strong connections to the local Muslim community are highly valued.
Job Type: Part-time contractor, 20 hours per week
Work Location: Remote with in-person meetings and events in the Greater Toronto Area
