Hadith to Habit: Teaching Character the Prophetic Way

November 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST

$20.00

Sound Vision Canada is excited to host an online workshop with Abir Catovic to support educators in creating a comprehensive Muslim character education program built on the study of Hadith.

Hadith to Habit: Teaching Character the Prophetic Way

Muslims proclaim that Prophet Muhammad (S.), who is described by Allah (S.W.T.) as possessing
“an exalted standard of character” is the best role model for life. Therefore, it is reasonable to assert
that Muslim character education programs must centre Prophet Muhammed (S.) and his teachings.
In this workshop, we will share an example of a character education program, primarily for grades
four through twelve, that uses hadiths of the Prophet (S.) to provide a living curriculum of values.
By delving into a particular character trait each month, learners are provided with the opportunity
to understand the teachings of the Prophet (S.) in theory and translate the theory into their daily practice.

You are invited to join us to examine practical strategies to help children and youth embody prophetic qualities
such as kindness, honesty, patience, and respect, that with the help of Allah (S.W.T.), will allow
them to succeed both in this life and the next.

Please note that this workshop is intended to provide instructional guidance for teachers, parents, and all those involved in children’s Islamic education.

We are pleased to offer the session’s video recording and slides to all registered participants. These resources will be shared within a week after the event, insha Allah.
