Closing the School Year with Purpose
May 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT
$25.00
As we approach the end of the school year, Sound Vision Canada is delighted to offer an online workshop with educational consultant Nadia Aslam, creating space for educators to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the purpose behind what they do each day. Together, we will look back on the year—what worked, what challenged us, and the moments that reminded us why this work matters. Grounded in both strong teaching practice and Islamic values, the session focuses on nurturing not just academic success, but also akhlaq, growth, and the overall well-being of students.
Workshop Special Features:
- Interactive and reflection-based
- Use of Padlet to share ideas and experiences
- Opportunities for small group discussion and connection
Reflecting with Intention
Taking time to think about the year—our experiences, our challenges, and the impact we’ve had on our students.
Understanding the Student Experience
Considering how our classrooms feel from a student’s perspective, and how we can strengthen connection and engagement.
Celebrating Every Learner
Shifting how we define success—recognizing effort, growth, and resilience. Exploring simple, meaningful ways to celebrate students who may not always be acknowledged.
Strengthening Our Practice
Sharing practical strategies to support classroom culture, engagement, and inclusive teaching.
Learning from One Another
Creating space for teachers to share what has worked in their classrooms and build on each other’s experiences.
Looking Ahead with Purpose
Setting clear, realistic intentions for the upcoming school year—both professionally and personally.
Educators will gain:
- A sense of reflection and renewed purpose.
- Practical strategies they can bring into their classrooms right away.
- Ideas for creating more inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Simple ways to recognize and uplift all students.
- Clear intentions to guide their work in the year ahead.
Please note this workshop is designed for K–12 educators and school leaders within Islamic school settings.
The recording and presentation slides will be shared with all those who register, insha Allah.
