The Art of Storytelling

Bringing Barakah and Joy into Your Classroom

Join us online! We’re excited to offer a teacher training session focused on the art of storytelling with the talented expert Inas Abusheikha.

This interactive session will include a demonstration of storytelling of course!

Participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion.

Inas is a trilingual mother passionate about children’s education and morally centred entertainment. She has been teaching for the past 15 years and is an experienced trainer on teaching second languages. Through Journey with Inas, she leads a variety of programs, courses for educators, and her Arabic educational children’s show, Fusحa.

The Art of Storytelling is the first of three SVC teacher training sessions to be offered online this fall insha Allah.

For attendees who participated in our in-person teacher training on August 26 & 27, 2023, please note:

  1. SVC online teacher training sessions serve as extensions for enriched learning and they are designed as opportunities to access specialized support. Please submit your questions in the registration form and feel free to bring more on Sept. 28th.
  2. Attending our fall online sessions is a requirement to receive the Sound Vision Canada Teacher Training Certificate.

Through The Art of Storytelling, participants will gain an understanding of:

a) What criteria to use when selecting a story

b) Strategies to effectively engage your audience

c) How to use all the senses in your storytelling

Attendees will be sent a video recording of the session and the presentation slides, insha Allah.

Registration is open to all those interested. Educators, administrators, homeschooling parents, and aspiring teachers are all welcome!

Please note: If you are facing financial barriers to participation, please reach out to info@soundvisioncanada.org and we will do our best to support you with a subsidy.
