All registrants will be sent a video recording of the session and the presentation slides\, insha Allah. \nAbout Dr. Trevor Hunter: \nDr. Trevor Hunter is Associate Professor of Governance and Management at King’s University College (Western University) in London\, Ontario\, Canada. He is a recognized non-profit governance expert\, having nearly 25 years of experience as a governance educator\, researcher\, consultant\, and practitioner. Trevor introduced the first ever course on governance under the UWO system at Ivey in 1999 and then the second one (which continues to this day) at King’s. He has taught the “Effective NFP Boards” course in the Not-For-Profit Management Certificate Program in Western’s department of Continuing Studies for over a decade. He has published and presented papers on governance in and at leading academic journals and conferences. Dr. Hunter has provided governance consulting to many regional non-profit organizations such as Western’s University Students’ Council\, the London Children’s Museum\, Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre\, Anova\, Reforest London\, and Community Living London among others. Trevor has served on numerous boards such as the King’s University College Foundation\, Youth Opportunities Unlimited\, the London Small Business Centre (former board chair)\, the Middlesex London Board of Health (former chair of the governance committee) and the regional chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors. In 2015\, Trevor was one of three co- founders\, and then vice-chair of the board\, of Airshow London\, a non-profit organization designed to celebrate aviation excellence and raise money for local charities. Currently\, Dr. Hunter serves as vice-chair and chair of the governance committee for Museum London where he oversees by-law and policy compliance and development.

Hill human rights award.  \nAHMAD ATTIA \nAhmad Attia is a distinguished professional in the field of public relations and crisis management\, currently serving as the CEO of Incisive Strategy. His expertise in navigating complex communication challenges and his strategic approach to public relations have positioned Incisive Strategy as a leader in its field. Beyond his professional endeavours\, Ahmad is deeply committed to human rights and community service. He serves as a board member of Human Rights Watch Canada\, where he contributes to the advocacy and protection of human rights both domestically and internationally. In addition to his human rights work\, Ahmad is an active board member of the Peel Police Board. Ahmad is also a board member of the Muslim Council of Peel. Recognized as a community activist\, Ahmad’s contributions to society go beyond his board roles. He is actively involved in various initiatives and programs aimed at community development and social justice. \nSAQUIBA RAHMAN \nSaquiba Rahman is an Associate at PooranLaw and has always been passionate about\, and active in\, the disability sector. Trevor introduced the first ever course on governance under the UWO system at Ivey in 1999 and then the second one (which continues to this day) at King’s. He has taught the “Effective NFP Boards” course in the Not-For-Profit Management Certificate Program in Western’s department of Continuing Studies for over a decade. He has published and presented papers on governance in and at leading academic journals and conferences. Dr. Hunter has provided governance consulting to many regional non-profit organizations such as Western’s University Students’ Council\, the London Children’s Museum\, Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre\, Anova\, Reforest London\, and Community Living London among others. Trevor has served on numerous boards such as the King’s University College Foundation\, Youth Opportunities Unlimited\, the London Small Business Centre (former board chair)\, the Middlesex London Board of Health (former chair of the governance committee) and the regional chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors. In 2015\, Trevor was one of three co- founders\, and then vice-chair of the board\, of Airshow London\, a non-profit organization designed to celebrate aviation excellence and raise money for local charities.
