SUMMARY:Closing the School Year with Purpose
DESCRIPTION:As we approach the end of the school year\, Sound Vision Canada is delighted to offer an online workshop with educational consultant Nadia Aslam\, creating space for educators to pause\, reflect\, and reconnect with the purpose behind what they do each day. Together\, we will look back on the year—what worked\, what challenged us\, and the moments that reminded us why this work matters. Grounded in both strong teaching practice and Islamic values\, the session focuses on nurturing not just academic success\, but also akhlaq\, growth\, and the overall well-being of students. \nWorkshop Special Features: \n\nInteractive and reflection-based\nUse of Padlet to share ideas and experiences\n Opportunities for small group discussion and connection\n\nReflecting with Intention \nTaking time to think about the year—our experiences\, our challenges\, and the impact we’ve had on our students. \nUnderstanding the Student Experience \nConsidering how our classrooms feel from a student’s perspective\, and how we can strengthen connection and engagement. \nCelebrating Every Learner \nShifting how we define success—recognizing effort\, growth\, and resilience. Exploring simple\, meaningful ways to celebrate students who may not always be acknowledged. \nStrengthening Our Practice \nSharing practical strategies to support classroom culture\, engagement\, and inclusive teaching. \nLearning from One Another \nCreating space for teachers to share what has worked in their classrooms and build on each other’s experiences. \nLooking Ahead with Purpose \nSetting clear\, realistic intentions for the upcoming school year—both professionally and personally. \nEducators will gain: \n\n A sense of reflection and renewed purpose.\n Practical strategies they can bring into their classrooms right away.\n Ideas for creating more inclusive and supportive learning environments.\n Simple ways to recognize and uplift all students.\n Clear intentions to guide their work in the year ahead.\n\nPlease note this workshop is designed for K–12 educators and school leaders within Islamic school settings. \nThe recording and presentation slides will be shared with all those who register\, insha Allah. \nNadia Aslam is an educational consultant and instructional leader.
