SUMMARY:Arabic to Quran: Effective Strategies for Teaching Quranic Arabic
DESCRIPTION:Sound Vision Canada is excited to offer an online training session for Arabic teachers\, with child development expert\, Dr. Fadwa Elashi. \nStudents build deeper Quranic connections when they understand the Arabic language. Learn how to elevate your instruction with research-based strategies that align with how students learn a foreign language best.  \nIn this workshop\, you will: \n(1) learn the theoretical principles of language development; \n(2) expand your teaching toolkit with the latest practices in foreign language instruction; and \n(3) develop effective lessons that support student communicative competence and Quranic connections. \nThe recording and presentation slides will be shared with all those who register\, insha Allah. \nDr. Fadwa Elashi holds a Ph.D. in Psychological Sciences with a specialization in developmental science and serves as a contract lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Her research explores issues related to children’s social and cognitive development. Dr. Elashi is driven by a passion for building equitable\, optimal learning environments and cultivating “change readiness” in the next generation. This led her to found Nectar Education\, a non-profit that bridges research and practice. \nDr. Fadwa Elashi has been a teacher trainer with Sound Vision Canada since 2023 delivering a range of workshop topics including Nurturing the Whole Child\, Building Early Faith Foundations\, and many more. \n*IMPORTANT* We will be sharing the Zoom link with registrants via email shortly before the event (after 5PM EDT on October 20). If you do not see it in your inbox\, please check your spam folder.
